The dream job isn’t a myth

Updated: May 12

We want to paint a picture for you. Imagine this... the majority of the work week, you wake up feeling excited, inspired, and motivated. It shows in your daily efforts because you’re using your talents to create something unique that adds value. You’re recognized for your hard work. You end your day feeling accomplished and look forward to what tomorrow brings.

Sounds incredibly fulfilling, right? We think so, too. That’s what it will feel like when you find your dream job.

But there are people out there who claim this feeling doesn’t exist or that it’s not as dreamy as you might anticipate. And perhaps because you’ve yet to feel it yourself, it’s hard to know what is really possible. So, we’re here to shed some light. We want to let you know that landing your dream job isn’t a myth. You just need the right tools to get the job (done)!

Tool #1: Mindset shift

Thoughts will decipher behaviors so start with a shift in mindset. At WorkWell, we believe in a holistic approach to job searching. Your professional work consists of your personality, spirituality, and mastery. This is exactly what makes you, you. Harness the positive energy to believe that it's possible for you to land the dreamiest opportunity.

Tool #2: Reflection & alignment

As you seek out your dream job, reflect on what’s important to you to reach your goals and how your special skill set will get you there. This is a two-way street. If you’re clear on what you want, it’ll be obvious when you find the right company to align with. In turn, they’ll be clear on why they choose you for the job.

Tool #3: Solid interview skills

Interview skills can be taught but they’re not something we’ve historically learned. This skillset is imperative to nail every step of the process. From first impression to networking to salary negotiation and finally, to seal the deal with a job offer. Interview skills are the most essential and lucrative skills in today’s world. Know your self-worth and sell the hell out of yourself.

Tool #4: Support system

The pursuit of a new career can be an emotional roller coaster at times. A strong support system to lean on can alleviate stress and help cultivate a sense of belonging. And that community will be there to celebrate when you land your dream job.

With these tools, the sky is the limit. Better yet, there is no limit. To empower you at every stage of your journey, we’re SO excited to introduce our Job Search + Interview Skills Accelerator — officially launching in June. This program will unpack this toolbox and so much more. An online learning experience powered by ongoing coaching.
